Manifesting My Dream: Letting Go and Seizing the Opportunity
Manifesting a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When the opportunity comes, just go for it!
The journey to manifesting our dreams often begins with a paradoxical twist: letting go. It's a concept that seems counterintuitive at first, but it allows the universe to work its magic. And when the universe does offer that golden opportunity, it's crucial that we seize it without waiver.
My own path to manifesting my dreams started with learning to surrender. I worked on releasing the tight grip of control, so that I could allow the universe to take the reins. I learned about trusting in unseen forces that could bring my dream to life. Letting go meant relinquishing doubt and fear, making space for belief and hope.
But manifesting isn't solely about detachment; it's also about active participation in our own journey. When that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity finally emerges, we must be prepared to act. It is as if the universe has been waiting for the perfect moment to present itself, and we are ready, fully prepared to seize it.
And that was how I manifested a Bali swing experience, something that I thought will never happen at first.
As frivolous as it sounds, I wanted to sit on a swing that overlooks rice paddy fields. The dream started with seeing Bali-swing photos on Instagram and my wish was to have the same experience. However, my family members weren’t interested when I mooted the idea of going to Bali. None of them were keen on the idea of traveling to sit on a swing either. Still I decided to set the intention and to let it go.
For 3 years, nothing happened. I guess it was impossible to, since we were having the pandemic. Then, with restrictions lifted a year ago, my girlfriends decided to explore the idea of going an all-girls’ trip. Our first choice of travel destination fell through after much discussion, leaving us to finally consider…Bali! We were getting excited but nothing much was done.
And that was when I acted. I got everyone to commit to booking the flight from Singapore and accommodation 6 months in advance. When I mooted the idea of having a Bali-swing experience in our travel plans, none of my friends had objections. Even the resort-style accommodation twas exactly like how I wanted it to be. All 6 of us had the blast of a lifetime! As my friend Anne pointed out, it’s been a laughter therapy vacation.
Co-Creating and Letting Go
Manifesting a Bali trip may seem small, but the same principles apply to any dream we’d like to turn into reality. In fact, I’ve tested the principles over and over again. My dream list is filled with pictures of experiences - whether they are travel-related or not - that I’d like to have, with a number that I have manifested.
The dream may seem impossible at first. After setting clear intentions, we surrender it to the Universe with the trust that it will conspire to bring us the right opportunity or resources. Manifesting may take a while, as I’ve discovered, especially when there are obstacles in the way. Releasing doubt and letting go can certainly help to speed up manifestation.
In the dance between letting go and seizing the moment, I discovered the true essence of what it means to manifest. It's about co-creating with the universe, about aligning our intentions with the flow of life. When the opportunity arises, it's our chance to step into our power, to turn it into reality.
Indeed, the journey to manifesting your dream starts with letting go and trusting in the unseen. But when the moment arrives, don't hesitate; seize it with all your heart. That's how dreams are brought to life, and that's how your story unfolds in the most magical way possible.
All the best to making your dreams come true!
Love and abundance always,
